Introduction
The ACR1281S-C1 Dual Boost II is a dual-interface reader that accesses contact and contactless smart cards complying with ISO 7816 and ISO 14443 standards. It integrates separate applications for both technologies into one device and card. Using the RS-232 serial protocol for host communication, it offers high-speed contactless communication at up to 848 Kbps, making it suitable for demanding applications. The reader intelligently supports hybrid and combi cards, detecting contactless cards even when inserted in the contact slot. Additionally, it features a built-in ISO 7816-compliant Class A SAM (Secure Access Module) slot, which, when used with a SAM card, enhances security for both contact and contactless applications.
